After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.
The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.
An imaginative landscape chart generated in the CC3+ software platform.
The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.
Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle contains these components:
Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and land masses from almost any perspective. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.
Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
