Christantus Uche Fuels Straightforward Palace Win at Shelbourne.

Even though entering their maiden European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning at a rapid pace. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.

A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, particularly after a previous setback against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Seize the Opportunity

This match offered a platform for some of Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second game in succession.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.

The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.

A solitary worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
